The weekend is upon us once again! It’s time for another edition of What We’re Watching This Week on That Hashtag Show. It’s a busy couple of days at the theater before Lilo & Stitch and Mission: Impossible grace those massive screens. Big releases for the weekend include Final Destination Bloodlines and Hurry Up Tomorrow! Let’s get into what you should be watching over the next couple of days.
Final Destination Bloodlines – In Theaters Today
14 years can feel like an eternity. That’s the kind of gap we’re talking about with the Final Destination franchise. As every property under the sun gets another appearance at the plate, it’s the splash 2000s horror staple’s turn. Our Hunter Bolding reviewed Final Destination: Bloodlines for the site and actually found it to be completely refreshing. He called it a return to form after some mixed results previously! Newcomers will be able to jump right in.
Hurry Up Tomorrow – In Theaters Today
I am encouraging you to go see this so that I can talk to someone about what I just saw. “Blinding Lights,” indeed! The Weeknd offers you a trip into (Beauty and) the Madness in his latest movie. He is joined by Jenna Ortega and a loathsome Barry Keoghan in this thriller. It’s slick and dread-inducing. Go check the Letterboxd reviews and roll up if you’re brave enough!
Kiki’s Delivery Service – In Theaters Tomorrow!
A certified anime classic playing on the big screen. Fathom Events is hosting some special screenings of Kiki’s Delivery Service. Ghibli movies are always crowd-pleasers. It seems like recent years have only invigorated audiences to see more of the beloved studio’s work. If this is playing anywhere near you, go see it. What are you waiting for???
Things Like This – In Theaters Now

The Romantic Comedy resurgence continues unabated! Things Like This is a love story between a writer and a talent assistant. But, as these two spend more time together, you begin to wonder if this is all fate? It’s charming and the only way to continue to see more of these on the big screen is to go out and support. This one is very charming.
Shadow Force – In Theaters Now

Action fans never fear, I didn’t forget about you. Kerry Washington and Omar Sy star in this wild movie. Two special operatives fall in love. There’s one problem with that. You’re not supposed to! Their son is being hunted by their employers and it’s up to these two highly-trained agents to save their family. R-rated guns and stunts aplenty. If this sounds awesome to you, you’ll probably like it!
Murderbot – Streaming on Apple TV+
This show is already blowing up on social media. And, how could it not? Murderbot is based on The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells. The show is funny and wild in all the right ways. Alexander Skarsgard’s comedic timing here is very, very pleasing. There’s action, some close calls and a little humanity from this security android.
Exterritorial – Streaming on Netflix
The Top 10 list has been seeing a lot of this one. Exterritorial focuses on a former special forces soldier. When her son disappears in Frankfurt, it’s up to Sara Wulf to get him back. Unfortunately, she’s up against a massive conspiracy. There are tons of twists and turns to be had in this particular offering.
