This year, Disneyland Resort celebrates a major milestone – the park’s 70th anniversary. 

To commemorate the occasion, Disney is going all out. Guests who visit the park this summer can experience limited-time entertainment, unique decor, new food and beverages, and plenty of special 70th anniversary merchandise. 

We were able to preview what Disneyland has in store for its big anniversary celebration. Here’s your guide to events, food, merch, and more during the milestone event.

“Celebrate Happy” – Anniversary Decor & Entertainment

Disneyland Resort invites guests to “celebrate happy” in honor of the park’s 70th anniversary, kicking off May 16, 2025 and continuing through summer 2026. During this time, the park will transform with special decor, entertainment, and a dedicated “Celebrate Happy” theme song.

Sleeping Beauty Castle will feature new decor and an elegant 70th anniversary medallion. Mickey, Minnie, and friends will also appear dressed in custom looks for the anniversary. Beyond the castle, guests can look out for special projections on the facades of Carthay Circle Restaurant and the “it’s a small world” ride.

70th Anniversary entertainment at the park will include the return of the “Paint the Night” parade and the “Wondrous Journeys” nighttime spectacular, enhanced with fireworks on select nights. The resort’s sister park, California Adventure, will also host a new “World of Color Happiness!” nighttime spectacular, as well as the return of  “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration” parade.

70th Anniversary Bites at Disneyland

Disneyland will celebrate 70 years with over 70 food and beverage options debuting this summer. The lineup includes brand-new items, festive variations on Disneyland favs, and even a few offerings inspired by the park’s past.

The vast majority of these food options will be available in Disneyland Park; however, Disney California Adventure does land a couple new eats as well. Disneyland 70th Anniversary Merch

We can’t celebrate 70 years of Disneyland without plenty of new merch to mark the occasion. Disney will release multiple themed collections for fans to commemorate the park’s anniversary. These collections include merchandise and collectibles featuring the Sleeping Beauty castle central to the park, and Mickey and his friends in their special 70th anniversary celebratory wear.

As usual with Disney Parks merch, you can grab just about anything under the sun. Apparel includes T-shirts, spirit jerseys, hoodies, jackets, and more. Plus, plenty of new mouse ears. You can nab houseware like mugs and travel cups, in addition to all of the specialty anniversary sippers and popcorn buckets. (Check out the full breakdown of those items in our Food Guide.)

Plus, look out for new Mickey & Co anniversary plushies, a ton of different tree ornaments, photo frames, key chains, pins, tote bags… Like I said, if you’re looking for something to commemorate Disneyland’s 70th anniversary, there’s definitely something for everyone in one of these many collections.
